George V Garcia

George V Garcia fell in love with music and started studying classical piano at the age of 6, continuing to explore other genres of music through high school. He went on to play piano and keyboards for over 15 years in various church folk groups and choirs. At the same time, he also started his DJ and Live Sound production company. His total love for music made him pursue it further in college. George holds a Certificate in Music Technology from The Center for Media Arts and a Bachelor of Music in Music Business and Technology from New York University. His first career was destined to be in the music industry, and he became a technical consultant, teacher, and trainer for New York City’s top recording studios, musicians, TV stations, and film and video production houses. Some of his clients included Disney composer Alan Menken, recording artists Lesley Gore and Moby, Sony Music Studios, Sound One, and Magno Sound and Film, to name a few. To reconnect with his love of performing, George took up partner dancing, specifically Hustle dance, as a hobby. One class became two, and two nights a week became four. George had a short career as an amateur, and in 2005, he pivoted to make dance his new career. Finally, his joy for learning, teaching, and performing were fulfilled through dance. In 2015, George and his wife Roscel relocated to Oahu in pursuit of building a new dance community. In 2023, George founded Danz2Advance with his wife Roscel to offer a fresh take on dance programs for dancers of all ages on Oahu.
